The Spec Shoppe, Inc. has the business and market capacity to support an expanded schedule. Opportunity: We are currently seeking an Optometrist to join our practice on a sublease/independent contractor basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to establish a thriving practice within a supportive and established environment. We are seeking an optometrist for 2-5 days per week, with preference given for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Patients are scheduled every 30 minutes. This position will primarily be located in our Maryville office, with potential opportunities for coverage in our Stanberry location. Team & Support: You will be joining a team of experienced and dedicated professionals. Our office staff includes two full-time and two part-time employees, including owners in each category. Outside of the owners, our team boasts a combined nearly 20 years of service, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow and exceptional customer service. Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation structure that allows our Optometrists to maximize their earning potential. You will be paid a full private pay rate or full insurance copay + reimbursement for each patient seen. This structure provides the flexibility for you to build your income based on your productivity. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive eye examinations. Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and conditions. Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses. Provide patient education and counseling. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Collaborate with our experienced team to deliver exceptional patient care. Qualifications: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry. Valid and active optometry license in the state of Missouri. Excellent clinical and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to patient care. Willingness to grow and assist in growing the practice. Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in optometric technology and procedures. Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
